Insurance & Financial Information

DO NOT DELETE

A: Nope! We provide support for every type of loss. As a practice, we have a high level of competence relating to grief, loss, and life transitions. However, we believe that everyone experiences grief in some capacity and that we are all impacted by loss in different ways.

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: We accept Atena, Cigna, Northwell Direct. Medicare is on our radar for the future.

We will verify your benefits and explain your coverage before your first session.
For other insurance companies, we are considered out-of-network (OON). Many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits that will typically reimburse between 50% to 80% of session costs after your deductible is met.

Prior to a consultation and session, our team will verify your benefits, explain your coverage, and make sure that you understand your benefits and cost per session.

After sessions, our team can provide documentation and support for you to submit to your insurance (or file claims directly when possible).

For more information about your coverage, please fill out our secure scheduling form where you will be able to upload your insurance card. Our team will check your benefits and get back to you to figure out a payment plan. You can also contact us with any questions.

Our goal is to reduce financial barriers and make this process as easy and accessible as possible for you!

Q: What is your fee and payment policy, and what if I can't afford the full rate?

A: Session rates depend on the clinician and experience. Our current rates range from between $100 (LMSW).

Individual fees are determined prior to beginning therapy.

We accept payment via debit card, credit card, HSA and FSA.

If you have out-of-network benefits we will work with you to assess your benefits and figure out a payment plan that is workable for you.

If you are unable to afford our full fee, please inquire about our sliding scale.

To apply for our sliding scale please fill out our secure scheduling form and/or contact us. Our team will be able to discuss sliding scale options and our sliding scale application process.

Q: This is my first time in therapy. How do I know if therapy, or one of our clinicians, is the right fit for me?

A: Part of therapy is building a relationship and it’s important that you feel comfortable and safe discussing the issues you most struggle with. Ensuring you and your clinician are a good fit takes intuition and dedicating time to build a relationship where you can make authentic progress.

Q: What can I expect in treatment?

A: In the first session, you and your clinician will discuss why you decided to seek support and begin discussing relevant current and historical information. Once in treatment, you will make connections to better understand your grief patterns, make changes, and learn the tools to address new issues as they arise.

Q: How long do you suggest your clients are in therapy?

A: Every person is different and wants and needs a different amount of time and type of treatment. Progress and growth take time and effort, and it's hard to quantify that without having first spent time with you in session, better understanding you and your goals. Some people are in treatment for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or longer. Our goal is to help you learn how to carry your grief and live your life in a way that feels fulfilling and sustainable, relate to therapy however feels best for you and your life, and for you to have agency over your own therapy.
